Congaree National Park floods ten times a year. These rushing waters, coming from the mountains upstream, bring nutrients that foster the perfect place for champion trees. Many hold records for being the largest on the east coast. Along with that, the flooding also creates the perfect place for many plants, animals, and a surprising kid favorite: bugs.
