Our Mission
National Park Scouts was created to inspire a deeper connection with America's national parks. We believe that understanding the science, history, and ecology of these incredible places enhances the experience of visiting them—and even if you can't visit in person, our episodes bring the parks to you.
Each episode is meticulously researched and produced with input from park rangers, scientists, historians, and conservationists. We're committed to accuracy, accessibility, and storytelling that captures both the wonder and the complexity of these landscapes.
Whether you're a frequent park visitor, an armchair traveler, or someone planning their first national park adventure, we're here to be your guide.

National Park Scouts is produced by a small team of journalists, audio producers, and park enthusiasts based across the United States. We've collectively visited over 40 national parks and conducted hundreds of hours of interviews with experts in geology, ecology, history, and conservation.
We collaborate closely with the National Park Service and various scientific institutions to ensure our content is accurate and up-to-date. Our episodes are independently produced, and we're grateful for the support of our listeners and sponsors who make this work possible.
